Yesterday I went and finalized my class schedule with my director! I got into all the classes that I wanted to take, which is perfect, because now I can get credit for the semester :)
I am taking three Spanish classes: Grammar and Composition, Spanish and Chilean Culture, and Phonetics. I am taking a a history course in English: Precolumbian Mesoamerican Cultures. Finally, I am taking Cultures in Contact. I think this will be my favorite class! The class is half Chileans and half foreign students, taught half in Spanish and half in English, and aimed at just learning about the other culture. We will bring in foods from our home, talk about our traditions, and different things like that! I am so excited!!
Before my meeting, Ahley and I hit up the beach. It was so beautiful! We decided that it is not THAT cold, and we want to jump in and swim! Haha, JK. After the meeting we went to a little cafe where I got hot chocolate, because I am absolutely obsessed with the hot chocolate here. It makes me HAPPY!! Then we went shopping. I got my first book in Spanish, since my last Spanish book turned out to be a huge bust! Did I already write about that? Well it turns out that I bought a book in Portuguese. Yeah, I am THAT cool.
Today we are going to tour the city next to us, Valparaiso. I am so excited! I am sure I will have tons to write about that adventure as well! Have a great day!!!
