My First Day of School!!

I am a total nerd and was nervous when we walked into class ten minutes late this morning, but it made no difference. Chilean time works for me, because everything starts a little bit later that scheduled :)

I LOVE MY CLASSES! In our first class this morning we practiced basic conversation. We got put into pairs and then we asked names, where they were from, what they study, and other basic questions. Then we had to write down all the answers in Spanish. After we switched partners, and we couldn't ask them any questions that they had already answered. That was tough! It forced us to practice talking about things we don't naturally talk about yet in Spanish. We ended up doing it four times. It was fun! Now I can properly intro myself to new people!

Hola! My llamo Lauren. Soy de Tejas in Los Estados Unidos. Yo tengo 20 anos. Yo estudio sociologia en San Antonio a la Universidad Incarnate Word. Yo tengo una hermana, Christina y me gusta ULTIMATE FRISBEE!!

Haha ok that is enough. Sorry is things aren't spelled right, I am terrible at writing in Spanish. Ok, I am also terrible at speaking Spanish. I have to much to learn.

We also had grammar class. That is going to be more individual work. We got a packet to work on in class, and this week we are going to review present tense. It was really nice, though, because she helped us with any questions we had. I have never been so excited about grammar before, that is weird.

I am so excited for day two!!

Oh sad day, I found out Chile doesn't offer Zumba. I am going to have to bus over to Argentina if I want to take classes. I will have to see how much that costs, haha.
