Valpariaso

Just a quick note on the gorgeous city I got to tour today!

We went into this tunnel that leads to a famous elevator. Anyway, the guide went through the whole mess on how if you get stuck in the tunnel during a tremor, which is supposed to be really common, it's really scary, because the lights will go out on you. So then we proceed down this long tunnel, and they turn out the lights on us. OMG for a split second EVERYONE freaked out, until we realized that they were of course just trying to play a joke on us. Still though, a tunnel with no light, it was really scary! Then again I am twenty years old and still afraid of the dark, so maybe YOU wouldn't think it was very scary.

At the end of the tour we went on a boat ride. We rode right up next to sea lions! Goodness, those creatures are SOO big!! We also found out that they are stinky animals. Doesn't matter, it was really cool! By the time we were out on the boat, the sun had set and it was pretty dark. Looking back you could just see the whole city lit up. It was absolutely beautiful :) :) :)
