Today was a fantastic Sunday!! Hugo's dad invited us over for lunch in Valpo, so we rode over there and ate sea food. It's weird, but my favorite thing there was actually made with hot dogs. You know the crust of an egg roll, what everything is inside of. They had hot dogs baked into that. I really don't know how else to explain it, but it was absolutely delicious! They also had two huge platters of kiwi, and I ate that amazing green fruit until I thought my stomach was going to burst. After lunch Hugo, his dad, and I walked along the coast and watched the waves. How relaxing! It was a great walk, and I saw the most incredible kites I have ever seen. They are smaller than kites we have in the United States, but they fly SO high! I have never seen anything like it before.
After lunch I ran to a cafe to meet up with some girls for our first bible study. We decided that we want to get together and go over the bible on Sundays, which is so incredible. I am so thankful to have people here in Chile that can help me grow in my faith journey. I was a tad nervous, because religion can be a hot topic. Not here though! Everyone had incredible, insightful things to say, and I feel like I got a lot out of it. Unfortunately, my four day weekend has come to an end, and now I have to finish my homework for tomorrow. Oh well, I am excited to get back to school and learn more Spanish! Have a great night!
